It's been two months since the baby and I'm biking again! Hooray! It was so fun to take Bridger along with us too! Took me a while to get the courage to get back on the bike again, but I was running again (slowly) in 4 wks after baby :) Oh how I've missed being active me :)

Something's missing...
So I am now 8 months pregnant and SO missing running. I had a dream last night that I was running down in Lake Powell...my favorite things :) It's been hard to not be able to run any more, however, it also just made me really excited for after having the baby when I will be able to get back into things again. Hopefully I will recover from labor pretty quickly and I'm excited to be running with our baby boy in our awesome Chariot stroller! Hooray!

College Soccer Memories...
Since I already mentioned my love for soccer, I wanted to post my favorite memories from playing since high school...
1. What would this post be without mentioning the early morning lines to get intramural schedules...this last time (just a week ago) I got there at 6:15am to find about 100 people already lined up! Good thing though that only 5 or so of them were girls.
2. Making my own teams freshman year with some random and not so random people...we ended up having a great team! Oly pride!
3. Coming home from the mission to find none of my old team members were still around...Thanks to my cousin Ryan I got on an awesome team! We were intramural coed spring champs 2007!

4. Summer pick-up games...especially those Monday nights and Saturday mornings!
5. Because of my spring team, getting onto a summer indoor league where I met the man of my dreams! I love you Taylor!

6. Getting an awesome women's team together in the fall that took it all again! 2007 intramural champs once again!

7. Winter pick-up games in the basement parking lot of the JFSB!
8. Playing with Taylor on future coed teams...so much fun and love watching him play! It's been a wonderful thing to have so much in common with the man I will be spending the rest of my life with.

9. Getting injured, but getting back into things with the help of soccer in fall 2008.

10. (I'm wanting to put here: "Fall 2009 Intramural champs again!"...but we'll see ;)
Even though the actual playing soccer has been a lot of fun, I'm so grateful for all the people that I've met through soccer...so many friends...and of course my wonderful husband, Taylor! It's cheesy, I know, but soccer brings people together!

Little Red Riding Hood!!!
The Little Red Riding Hood Bike Race was my first! Wellsville, UT...June 6th, 2009. All girls race and so fun with a luau the night before and so much good food all throughout! Great support and lots of awesome volunteers helping out. It's all for a good cause towards research against breast cancer. Such a beautiful route too! I had so much fun that I want to do it every year! Next year I hope to do the 100 mile distance...this year I competed in the 46 miler and got 1st place!!! I couldn't believe it! I owe it all to my bike trainer/coach: Taylor! He was so sweet too to be my biggest fan and so supportive! He read the whole time I was biking...
Age:25

Final Time: 2:39

Canyonlands 1/2 Marathon!
Moab Canyonlands half marathon was so fun! March 22nd, 2009. Went down with the family for the weekend and stayed in Uncle Steve's condo (thanks Uncle Steve!). Had a blast and loved that Winter was just ending...it was so nice and warm down there. The hard part of it was that I had been training and used to colder weather, so when the race day came it was pretty hot! I think I overheated a little during mile 6 or 7 and had to keep pouring water on my head. I cooled down a little after that, but woooey...soooo hard to run your best when you feel like that. Ran it with my mom and sister Tiff. Even though I had super tight hamstrings and problems with the heat, my mom had a hurt back, and Tiff had a hurt foot, we all were able to do well and feel pretty good after all.
Oh, the things we do for running!
I just finished waving to Taylor so my form here looks pretty funny!
Here are the stats...
Bib#: 1065
Age: 25
Age Division: F25-29
Division Place: 35
Gender Place: 120
Overall Place: 443/4000
Time: 1:45:24
Pace: 00:08:03
Happy with my time, however while I was training, I was consistently running under an 8 minute pace...so goes to show how much the heat and some tight hamstrings can hold you back.
